Across: The Father Tolton Movie

This short film about the boyhood of Augustine Tolton, America's first black priest, is set in 1863. Ten-year-old Gus wants to escape slavery with his family, but a cruel overseer, the Mississippi River, and the chaos of the Civil War stand between him and freedom.
